Muthoni (Soni) Kori Kastner

Founder

Muthoni “Soni” Kori Kastner is the founder of Taa Ya Mama Schools, an initiative dedicated to supporting teenage mothers in Kenya as they continue their education and build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

​

Driven by a passion for empowerment and long-term impact, Soni envisions a community where teenage mothers receive the support, education, and opportunities they need to become financially stable and create generational change for their families.

​

Outside of her work, Soni enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, and supporting her teenage son at his competitive golf tournaments.

Emily Finomore

Secretary

Emily Finomore is a licensed clinical therapist in the state of West Virginia with extensive experience supporting children and families through trauma-informed and resiliency-based care. She currently serves as a clinical supervisor in treatment foster care, where she helps guide therapeutic services and family support programs.

​

Emily believes in empowering individuals through a deeper understanding of somatic and neurological responses, helping others develop the tools needed to heal, grow, and thrive.

​

In her personal life, Emily is a mother of five through both biology and adoption. She enjoys hiking, floating in creeks, attending music festivals, and appreciating a well-directed film.

Anne Wandimi

Board Member

Anne Wandimi is an IT Specialist in Business Administration with more than 17 years of experience transforming vulnerable communities in Kenya through compassion, strategy, and action.

​

Throughout her career, Anne has successfully helped rescue and reintegrate children back into their families, restoring hope and rebuilding futures for countless young people. Her leadership is grounded in integrity, service, and a deep commitment to sustainable community impact.

​

Anne is also a proud mother of three young adult children and continues to advocate for lasting change through both professional and community engagement.
